Why not? After stepping out for her first official red carpet appearance with her new beau at a pre-Emmys bash, it was only right for Kaley Cuoco to bring hew boyfriend Ryan Sweeting to the actual main event!
The Big Bang Theory actress brought the tennis player as her date to the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. on Sunday, Sept. 22. Dressed to stun, the 27-year-old wore a gorgeous Vera Wang corseted ballgown with Aldo heels for the star-studded event. She also accessorized with a Jimmy Choo clutch and Neil Lane jewelry. (Two days prior, the couple attended Entertainment Weekly's party at Fig & Olive Melrose Place in West Hollywood, Calif.)
"Massive thank you to @VeraWangGang for letting me wear the most gorgeous dress ever! It was an honor!!!!" the blonde beauty tweeted after the show.
The special evening marks the first big award show for the pair, who kept close throughout the night — especially on the red carpet! At one point, the actress stumbled in her heels before heading in to take her seat, and had to be caught by Sweeting, an eyewitness reveals to Us Weekly.
Meanwhile, during the quick save, Cuoco's ex Johnny Galecki was making his way onto the red carpet holding hands with girlfriend Kelli Garner, the insider added. Galecki, 38, and the former Pan Am star, 29, also attended the 2012 award show together and first went public with their relationship in March 2012. (The two couples also sat right next to each other inside during the ceremony.)
Galecki's PDA with Garner is quite different than his past relationship with Cuoco. The Big Bang costars were previously very secretive of their two-year romance, and it was only later revealed (after their split) when Cuoco admitted it to CBS Watch Magazine in September 2010.
