Kanye West and Kim Kardashian celebrated his homecoming — and son Saint West’s first birthday — with a small family gathering after his release from the hospital Wednesday, November 30, a source tells Us Weekly. According to the insider, the Kardashians had a “little celebration with a little cake but it was very low-key.”
They didn’t hold back on the decorations though. Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian, as well as Kylie Jenner, Snapchatted photos of dozens of star-shaped balloons floating from the ceiling on Wednesday night as they welcomed the rapper home and celebrated Saint, who turns 1 December 5. “Everyone is just happy he’s back home and things can go back to normal,” the source said of West.
As previously reported, the 38-year-old musician is relieved to be back home more than a week after checking into UCLA Medical Center, another source told Us. The “Famous” rapper, who was admitted to the hospital November 21 for extreme exhaustion and dehydration, is “still receiving care,” the insider previously explained.
The “Waves” rapper has his famous family to lean on. His wife, Kim Kardashian, was on hand throughout his hospitalization. “Most of the nights Kanye was in the hospital, [Kim] was sleeping there too,” a source told Us. “Kanye just wanted Kim there.”
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight while backstage at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show Wednesday, sister Kendall Jenner confirmed that West is on the mend.
“Everyone’s OK,” she told ET when asked out the incident. “Everyone is doing OK, just praying.”
