Kanye West says living at Kris Jenner's house with Kim Kardashian is "interesting"

Kanye West may be rap royalty, but these days, chaos reigns supreme in his life — and he wouldn't have it any other way. Sitting down to chat with girlfriend Kim Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, for the Friday, Aug. 23, episode of her talk show, the hip hop star opened up about how much his life had changed since the birth of his baby daughter, North, two months ago.

One major change has been his living situation. West, 36, and Kardashian, 32, have been living with Jenner, her husband Bruce, and their daughters Kendall and Kylie at their home in Calabasas, Calif. Asked how he felt about the arrangement, the rapper hesitated a moment before answering.

"It's…interesting," he said after a long pause, explaining that he's used to things being a little quieter. "There's noise happening all the time."

That said, he loves that there are people waiting for him when he comes home. "When I'm out, I just want to get home early so I can be with my family," he shared.

Jenner, for her part, said on the show that she enjoys having West as a roommate and even grills her daughter when he's away to find out when he's coming back. "We love each other a whole bunch," she gushed of the new dad, noting that they've settled nicely into a routine and start each day with a "good morning."

The talk show host's much-anticipated interview with West also included the rapper's thoughts on his relationship with Kardashian, as well as the big reveal of the first photo of the couple's daughter, North. "Kim is my joy," he said during the emotional chat. "She brought my new joy into the world."

West admitted that prior to finding love with the reality star, he could sometimes be reckless. "I would put my life at risk, " he told Jenner of sinking to an all-time low after the 2007 death of his mother, Donda West. "I didn't have something to live for. Now I have two very special people to live for, a whole family to live for, a whole world to live for."
