Kanye West Might Join Instagram, But Only Under One Condition

Oh, Yeezus. Avid tweeter Kanye West is finally thinking about joining Instagram — but only under one very important condition.

“On another note…I was thinking about getting an Instagram but only on one condition…,” the “Famous” rapper, 38, wrote on Monday, March 14. “No one can ask me or try to tell me what to Instagram…It’s my art…”

Comparing his potential ‘grams to the current masterpiece that is West’s Twitter feed, the Grammy winner concluded: “My tweets are a form of contemporary art only compromised by people trying to tell me what to tweet and what not to tweet…Non artist trying to grab the paint brush…”

If West needs any inspiration as to how one successfully runs an Instagram page without consideration for others’ opinions, he should look no further than to his wife, Kim Kardashian, who is one of the most followed users on the social media app, boasting 63.7 million followers. (Selena Gomez takes the top spot with 69.4 million followers to her name.)

As Us Weekly previously reported, the reality TV superstar, 35, shamelessly posted an Internet-breaking nude selfie on March 7. The result? A divisive argument among celebrities who criticized Kardashian’s skin-baring shot and those who supported it.

After stars such as Chloë Grace Moretz and Pink expressed their disappointment in Kardashian’s NSFW photo, she clapped back with a slew of heated tweets — and by writing an essay promoting body positivity.

“I am empowered by my body. I am empowered by my sexuality. I am empowered by feeling comfortable in my skin. I am empowered by showing the world my flaws and not being afraid of what anyone is going to say about me,” the E! personality shared on her website. “And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world.”
