Former Playboy Playmate Karissa Shannon is sharing shocking new details about her experiences with the late Hugh Hefner.
“He would try and force me and my sister [Kristina Shannon] to have sex with each other,” Karissa, 37, claimed to Page Six in an interview published on Wednesday, November 4. “Me and my sister never actually did it together. So that’s a statement I want to say. Like, really, we never, never had incest[uous] sex. Like, we never did that. We faked it.”
Karissa lived in Hefner’s famed Los Angeles estate with her twin sister from the time they were 18 to 20 years old.
Her comments come after Crystal Harris accused her late husband of “starting to try and shove” Kristina and Karissa’s heads “onto each other’s vaginas to get them to engage with each other sexually.”
“That is incest. That is disgusting,” Harris, 40, claimed on the October 27 episode of the “Lisa Guerrero Unleashed” podcast. “I didn’t want them to have to do something like that with each other. So that was very, very hard.”
In her new interview with Page Six, Karissa said she was confused that some people were shocked by the use of the word “incest.”
As she said, “I figured people would already have assumed that.”
“We faked it every time, and it was horrible,” Karissa explained about getting close with her twin sister. “Like, we faked it completely.”
While Karissa claimed Hefner “had no idea” and “thought it was real,” she never quite understood why he found the connection “beautiful.”
“He wanted to see it and wanted us to fool around with each other,” she claimed, “and said that if we really loved each other, we would do it together.”
Hefner died in September 2017 at the age of 91 after going into cardiac arrest and experiencing respiratory failure.
He was laid to rest next to Marilyn Monroe in a private ceremony days after his death.
Since Hefner’s death, Kristina and Karissa have spoken out about their two-year relationship with the Playboy founder.
When asked by Us in July 2025 what they would say to Hefner if he were still alive, Karissa said, “I would just ask him why he took advantage of us. We wouldn’t have to have a sit-down. I don’t think there’s an apology that he could issue [to] us that would take back the trauma that he’s done to us.”
Kristina added, “[I would just say], ‘You really did f*** us up and take advantage of us.’ I’d be asking why he thought that was OK.”
