In a post titled “Welcome to Buckingham Palace” on his blog Humor Chic, Palombo, who is not affiliated with The Simpsons, posted the array of sketches of Prince William’s wife along with some featuring Queen Elizabeth.
Those dresses! Those jewels! Those nude pumps! Itching for the clothing and accessories worn by Kate Middleton but don’t have a royal budget? Have no fear — shop these look-alike picks instead – at a fraction of the cost!
In one sketch, the artist managed to capture nearly every outfit Middleton has famously worn, including her beloved LK Bennett “Detroit” dress and that headline-worthy Jenny Packham lavender gown from the BAFTAS.
Who’s that girl? It’s widely believed that Prince William first laid eyes on young Kate Middleton — curvy in a see-through knitted mesh slip and bikini — when she walked in a charity fashion show at St. Andrew’s University. In 2011, the mesh slip sold at auction for $125,871.
Palombo’s previous work includes portraying Disney princesses as disabled.
