It's four years since the Royal Wedding!
Kate Middleton and Prince William could have double reason to celebrate today if Royal Baby number two decides to make his or her appearance six days overdue — because Wednesday, April 29 is the couple's wedding anniversary.
On this day in 2011, the soon-to-be Duchess of Cambridge, 33, walked down the aisle in a stunning Alexander McQueen gown at London's Westminster Abbey in front of almost 2,000 guests (and broadcast live on TV) to become the newest member of the Royal family as she married Prince William, 32.
And four years later, the eyes of the world are on happy couple again, this time eagerly awaiting the birth of their second child, as the great Royal Baby wait continues.
Despite being due on Thursday, April 23, Kate is continuing her usual activities and shows no signs of slowing down in preparation for the birth. Yesterday, she took her first-born son Prince George to swim class, and even drove her own car as she traveled home to Kensington Palace.
Private celebrations are scheduled to go ahead for the couple's fourth wedding anniversary this evening as planned, unless the future little Prince or Princess decides to make today his or her birthday!
"They will be spending it privately," a Kensington Palace spokesperson tells Us Weekly of the couple's plans to celebrate the occasion quietly at their London home.
