This. Is. Amazing! Kate Middleton and Prince William met Hollywood royalty Beyonce and Jay Z on Monday, Dec. 8. The royals, who are in New York City for a three-day tour, attended the Brooklyn Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game and sat courtside across from the fellow power couple, and eyewitnesses tell Us Weekly it was one epic evening.
According to an attendee at the game, the Duchess and Duke walked to their seats seven minutes into the third quarter, and while making their way into Barclays, “got a standing ovation.” Understandably so, fans were “snapping pics of them instead of watching the game.”
William, clad in a casual plaid button-down shirt was seated next to retired NBA player Dikembe Mutombo, who was “explaining the game to him.” Middleton, who is pregnant with her second child, donned a tweed Tory Burch coat and skinny jeans for the event. See more photos of the exciting game!
The magical moment when the duos met occurred in between the third and fourth quarter, the lucky eyewitness tells Us. “Jay and Bey walked across the court to see them” while “God Save the Queen” and then “Crazy In Love” blasted throughout the arena.
Middleton and William then met players LeBron James and Kevin Garnett after the game, who gifted them with an adorably tiny jersey for Prince George.
