Katy Perry seems to be standing by her man, Orlando Bloom. The “Roar” singer, 31, addressed the headlines surrounding the actor and Selena Gomez on Twitter on Thursday, May 12.
“Instead of giving energy & eyeballs to dumb conspiracy 🚮 check out how C👁👁L this is,” Perry tweeted along with a link to a Time magazine article about Bloom’s charity work in eastern Ukraine.
Gomez retweeted the "Birthday" singer's message and chimed in with the praise emoji.
Perry had hinted at trouble earlier on Thursday, tweeting “Is that all there is?” along with a link to Peggy Lee’s classic 1969 song, which is about a girl disillusioned by love after being disappointed by a boy.
As previously reported, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 39, was spotted getting cozy with Gomez, 23, at Light nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 7. The duo were also spotted leaving the nightclub together and getting into an awaiting SUV.
“Nothing happened,” an insider previously told Us. “It was totally nothing and harmless with Selena. He was in town and came to say hi to their manager. That night, they all left in the same car with their manager, got hamburgers and then each went home separately.”
Perry and Bloom have been dating since they first hit it off this past January at a Golden Globe afterparty. The singer, who was married to Russell Brand for 14 months prior to splitting in 2011, was last linked to John Mayer. Bloom was previously married to Miranda Kerr, and the two share 5-year-old son Flynn.
