Katy Perry's segment with ESPN's College GameDay on Saturday, Oct. 4 has gone viral — and not for the greatest reasons. The "Dark Horse" singer turned heads in a fuzzy pink jersey with double hair buns. The outfit, however, was nothing compared to the bizarre commentary that came next.
Perry, 29, didn't take her guest hosting duties too seriously as she sat next to the other male commentators. She threw a corn dog at the camera, asked Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Trevor Knight to call her, and chose the Sooners over Texas Christian University based on their "looks."
The awkward segment didn't end there. Perry also ripped the mascot head off Lee Corso and threw it into the crowd. When asked about the upcoming game, she quipped: "Is this the one that has the c–ks in it?" (Answer: No. She was mistaking the teams with the University of South Carolina, whose mascot is The Gamecocks.)
"OXFORD MISSISSIPPI I'M HERE WITH REBEL RED HAIR TODAY! ARE YOU READY?!" Perry tweeted before the how. "@CollegeGameDay #GetUp4GameDay."
Perry was reportedly asked by the NFL back in August if she would pay to play in the next Super Bowl halftime show. Her response? At the time, she tweeted: "Negotiating 101: You always win if you have nothing to lose!"
