“I want to start by saying I ALWAYS take responsibility for my actions. In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT,” Osbourne wrote after getting slammed on Twitter for her racially charged remark. “I whole-hearted f—ked up today. I don’t want to bulls—t anyone with lame excuses. Although, I was stopped mid-sentence by Rosie and couldn’t finish my point I will not let Rosie take responsibility for my words."
In case you missed it, the View hosts were discussing Donald Trump’s equally controversial remarks about immigrants on Tuesday, when the former Fashion Police host asked: “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?”
Co-hosts Rosie Perez and Raven-Symone both reacted immediately to Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter’s remark. But after Osbourne attempted to backtrack, explaining on air she “didn’t mean it like that,” Perez came to her defense, telling viewers she’d reacted too quickly. "I want to apologize to this young woman once again for being overly sensitive,” she said on camera. "Kelly Osbourne is on our side, and I was sensitive. My disdain should only go to Donald Trump, so I'm sorry, darling."
Osbourne, for her part, said she’ll be more careful with her words in the future. "I should have known better as I was on The View and it was live. I’ve learned a very valuable lesson. It is my hope that this situation will open up a conversation about immigration and the Latin community as a whole,” she wrote, before adding: “By the way I clean my own f—king toilets.”
