Kelly Osbourne coped with her broken engagement to Matthew Mosshart by going tagging with Justin Bieber

Kelly Osbourne has an unusual remedy for the breakup blues!

After announcing on Wednesday that she ended her engagement to Matthew Mosshart after two years, the "Fashion Police" star distracted herself by … spray painting stuff with Justin Bieber.

The 29-year-old had a tag fest with the Canadian crooner, 19, which she shared photos of on Instagram. In the pix, the lilac-tressed TV personality was wearing checked pants, a black and leopard print coat, and one glove (to prevent paint stains on her digits) as she and the teenager painted cartoon characters on a wall. Bieber, who was cited for defacing public property when he partook in his new hobby in Brazil last year, looked on.

Calling their night out "random," Osbourne wrote, "Just had so much fun getting lessons from @justinbieber on how to #SprayPaint! Needless to say I was s–t. All I did was the horns! Justin is a lovely boy and have turned me into a true #Belieber tonight!"

A distraction is good for Osbourne, who earlier in the day confirmed that she will not be headed down the aisle with the wavy-haired vegan chef. In a statement, she called their split "amicable" and noted she has the "utmost respect" for her beau of two years, but she was "looking forward to a new year of fresh beginnings."

Despite her statement, the split does seem sudden. After all, the pair spent New Year's Eve together, which Kelly shared a snapshot of on Instagram. He was also part of her holiday celebrations — they donned ugly Christmas sweaters together and he was with her family for their celebration, which includes an annual balloon release.

Osbourne, who was previously engaged to British model Luke Worrall, posted a cryptic message on Twitter early Wednesday just before confirming their breakup.

“Its all about perception sometimes the bad things that happen in life aren't really bad at all especially when you learn something from it,” she wrote.

Mosshart has also had some possibly telling posts on Instagram, which he recently joined. On a photo that he posted on New Year's Day, he said he was doing "house cleaning." Another, which he posted on Tuesday, was of his mother and sister (The Kills singer Alison Mosshart), whom he called "my everything."

Another good way Osbourne will keep distracted from her split (other than potentially more spray paint sessions with the Biebs) is awards season. She'll be busy on the red carpet for E! over the next few months, starting this Sunday at the Golden Globes.
