Bottoms up, Hank! Kendra Wilkinson tells Us Weekly in an exclusive interview that while things have been patched up with her husband, Hank Baskett, the former football pro apparently gets jealous about her interactions with other cute guys, the most recent being Trey Songz.
“I was on Kocktails With Khloé, and Hank got a little jealous over Trey Songz!” the Kendra on Top star, 30, tells Us. “We were flirting a little bit. Trey Songz is hot! I’m sorry!”
But her flirtation with the 31-year-old hip-hop singer didn’t stop with cocktails. “Trey Songz got me some sunflowers!” the former Playmate says. “Hank, oh, he got pissed. Hank had gotten me some roses before that show, and they were in this vase … when I came home with this huge bouquet [from Trey], [Hank] took the roses and dumped them in the trash! He was like, ‘Oh, go ahead and take the vase for your Trey Songz flowers!'”
“I said, ‘Oh great, cool!’ I put them in the middle of the table, and I was like, ‘Oh aren’t they pretty!’” Wilkinson tells Us with a laugh. “I’ve come out of our problems a different person.”
Like other couples, the stars also argue it out over common issues such as parenting their two kids, Hank IV, 6, and Alijah, 22 months. “Alijah is obsessed with her dad!” Wilkinson says. “And she won’t even look at me! So it’s all about parenting, we’ll fight about parenting, stuff like that.”
The reality personality says her previously troubled marriage is good now, and much of it has to do with finding the humor in everything. “I’m not taking life as serious anymore. I want to laugh again, and I’m a big flirt! I’m not ashamed of it,” she tells Us. “I’m not going to cross the line at all, but if I see a hot guy I’m gonna see if I’ve still got it! But I would never cross the line.”
Us Weekly confirmed nearly two years ago that Baskett had cheated on Wilkinson with a transgender model while Wilkinson was eight months pregnant with their daughter. It took a stint on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars in 2015 and intensive therapy to work out their issues, which Wilkinson says has paid off.
“He always asks, ‘Well what would you do if I did that?!’ And I would probably beat the bitch’s ass or something,” she jokes with Us. “I’m at this weird place in my life where I’m really calm and I don’t want anything taking away from my life anymore. Jealousy takes away from life, anger takes away from life, revenge, any of that s–t takes away from life. I was a fighter. And at times I still have this fight in me. But at the end of the day I really, really want to be a lover. The best lover I can be. Every day is a battle of good versus evil.”
That includes checking her husband’s phone and email messages. “It’s such a waste of time. I’m so tired of it,” she says. “I used to care. Even before the drama with him, I used to be so jealous, and I used to think, like, negative — like, ‘He’s going to cheat on me.’ But now I realized it’s just a waste of time. I don’t want to live my life in fear anymore.”
