Partners on the dance floor and off! Dancing With the Stars contestant Kim Zolciak had a scary setback earlier this week when she suffered a series of mini strokes, which landed her in the hospital.
Thankfully, the Don’t Be Tardy star, 37, has had a great support system. On Thursday, Sept. 24, she posted a photo of her dance partner, Tony Dovolani, sitting next to her hospital bed, laughing.
“This guy @tonydovolani has been by my side for 2 days!” she captioned the photo. “He even brings me my favorite coffee. Although he is always dancing around the room lol he keeps me smiling! So blessed to be surrounded by such great people. Want to go home so bad! Hopefully tomorrow! #GoingStirCrazy #BlessingInDisguse.”
Dovolani tells Us Weekly, "After spending only a few weeks with Kim, it is evident of how much of a fighter she is. Her humor and positivity are still shining through, and it’s amazing to see the love and support of her family. We are hoping for a speedy recovery."
The mother of six previously shared a photo of her football-playing husband, Kroy Biermann, cradling her in the hospital bed, writing, “All that matters… FAMILY.”
Zolciak first alerted fans to her condition on Thursday morning, explaining that soon after she flew from Los Angeles to her home in Atlanta, where she collapsed from a series of mini strokes.
“The left side of my body went completely numb and my speech was gone,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum recalled. “I have 100% of my feeling back THANK GOD.”

On Friday, Sept. 25, she gave an update via Instagram, posting a photo of herself wearing an oxygen mask with the caption, “Going in for one more procedure, things are looking up! don't let the oxygen scare you its just protocol. I wanted THANK all of you for the love! I feel so overwhelmed with all the texts, comments etc. I'm so grateful to have all of you! #TheyDontCallMeToughieForNothing.”
