Sad to see him go. Real Housewives of Atlanta alumna Kim Zolciak took to Instagram Monday, August 15, to pen an emotional note about her NFL player husband Kroy Biermann’s recent trade to the Buffalo Bills in New York.

The Georgia-based reality TV personality, 38, posted a pic of her spouse, 30, hugging their young children, paired with some bittersweet sentiments.

"This has been one of the hardest days ever for me," the Don’t Be Tardy star captioned the snap. "Kash turning 4 and starting Pre-K, KJ starting kindergarten and my best friend, my everything left this morning to play for @buffalobills."

"Although Kroy is so excited as I am (my parents grew up there, half my family still lives there) never mind the fact the fans are AWESOME, the team is AWESOME and my hubby is ecstatic … It was hard to say good bye!" she admitted of having to bid farewell to her hubby. "Im so thankful for @briellebiermann taking Kroy so early this morning, @cheftraceybloom coming to the rescue to be here for me, @nikitpressley texts and ALL of you who have welcomed my husband with open arms! THANK YOU. #HeIsMyCalm #HeIsMyStrength #HeIsEveryThingAManHusband&FatherShouldBe."

On Tuesday, the Buffalo Bills officially announced Biermann’s new position as an outside linebacker for their team. The athlete previously played for eight seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.

“We've officially signed LB Kroy Biermann,” the sports organization wrote from their official Twitter account, accompanied by a shot of the dad of six signing his contract. “Welcome @biermann71!”

Biermann also expressed his enthusiasm over playing with a new group of guys this fall. “So excited to become part of the Buffalo Bills family we can already feel the amazing energy,” he tweeted. “#GoBills.”

He and Zolciak — who share sons KJ, 5, Kash, 4, and 2-year-old twins Kane and Kaia — tied the knot in a televised November 2011 wedding ceremony. The “Google Me” songstress is also mom to Brielle, 19, and Ariana, 14, from a previous marriage. Biermann officially adopted the teens in July 2013.

Don't Be Tardy returns to Bravo for its fifth season on Sunday, September 14, at 10 p.m. ET.
