Finding strength in family. Kim Zolciak shared a sweet photo to Instagram on Friday, September 2, in support of her husband, Kroy Biermann, who was abruptly cut from the Buffalo Bills earlier in the day.
“Too bad everyone in the world doesn't have the ❤️ of a child!” she captioned the touching shot, which shows the 30-year-old NFL player kneeling to hug one of his sons. “#WhenYouFollowYour❤️ #YouAreAlwaysRight #WeLoveYouDaddy.”
Biermann found out that he had been cut from the team alongside 21 other men after the team’s head coach, Rex Ryan, had to whittle the roster of players down from 75 to 53, according to BuffaloBills.com.
The NFL star — who previously played with the Atlanta Falcons for eight seasons — signed a contract with the Buffalo Bills on August 15, and both he and the team had been excited about the news.
“We’ve officially signed LB Kroy Biermann,” the sports team tweeted at the time. “Welcome @biermann71!”
The athlete similarly shared his enthusiasm for the move on social media. “So excited to become part of the Buffalo Bills family we can already feel the amazing energy,” he tweeted. “#GoBills.”
Zolciak, 38, had mixed feelings about the decision but ultimately told fans that she would support her husband no matter what.
“This has been one of the hardest days ever for me,” the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star wrote. “Ash turning 4 and starting Pre-K, KJ starting kindergarten and my best friend, my everything left this morning to play for @buffalobills although Kroy is so excited as I am (my parents grew up there, half my family still lives there) never mind the fact the fans are AWESOME, the team is AWESOME and my hubby is ecstatic … It was hard to say goodbye!”
Now, with Biermann cut from the team, Zolciak will have the athlete at home for a little time more, though the future of his NFL career is still uncertain.
