Kirstie Alley is officially a grandmother! The 65-year-old actress’ son, William True Stevenson, has welcomed his first child. The Cheers alum announced the exciting news via Twitter on Tuesday, June 21.
“When your son has a son…bliss,” she captioned a black-and-white photo of Stevenson, 23, with the newborn. “Yes this is my secret happy news as promised …Welcome Waylon Tripp Parker.”
Alley then posted a second pic of the adorable baby boy smiling while wrapped up in a blanket. “Just GOTTA send one more..proud Grammy,” she wrote.
The comedienne and her ex-husband Parker Stevenson adopted William in 1992. They also share daughter Lillie, 22, who they adopted in 1994. The couple divorced in 1997 after nearly 14 years of marriage. Alley was previously married to Bob Alley from 1970 to 1977.
The Look Who’s Talking actress was most recently in the news for her slimmed-down figure. Alley rejoined Jenny Craig as a spokesperson in April 2014 after a seven-year hiatus and 30-pound weight gain. She revealed her impressive weight loss at a company event in NYC in February 2016.
“Before I’ve had more of a view of ‘Get to the goal, have the goal,” she said during a January 2015 interview on the Today show. “This time I thought, ‘OK, what is the goal? What is the time span of the goal?’ I really looked at it as this is my life, and until I’m dead basically, I am going to keep this this way, instead of like, ‘Oh, I lost 50 pounds and now I can do whatever I want.’ I don’t have that anymore … my goal is to keep this and maintain this throughout my life.”
