One of Kylie Jenner’s former private chefs has filed a lawsuit against The Kardashians star, alleging an unhealthy workload led to her miscarriage.

According to court documents obtained by the Us Weekly on Thursday, June 25, the woman routinely worked 11 to 12-hour shifts five days a week and was assigned physically demanding tasks during pregnancy.

In February 2025, the chef — who was five months pregnant at the time — alleged that she was asked to work a Jenner family member’s birthday party in Palm Springs, California, where she wasn’t provided “adequate support.”

The woman claims that when she asked for help and expressed concern over the workload, she was ignored by supervisors.

“Due to exhaustion and overwhelming physical strain, [she] broke down emotionally in the bathroom during the event,” the lawsuit claims. “That evening, [she] experienced extreme physical exhaustion and heaviness throughout her body as a result of the prolonged and intense workload.”

According to the court documents, the chef woke up the next morning experiencing severe hemorrhaging and drove herself to the emergency room. “At the hospital, [she] was informed that there was no detectable heartbeat and that she had lost her unborn child,” the documents claim.

After suffering a miscarriage, the chef claims to have suffered depression and emotional distress. A supervisor, however, allegedly reprimanded her, saying, “Stop it, just stop it. You are upsetting Kylie. You are making her depressed.”

Us Weekly has reached out to Jenner’s team for comment.

“Celebrity status does not exempt anyone from California’s employment laws,” the plaintiff’s attorney, Della Shaker, said in a statement to the Los Angeles Times who first reported the suit. “We look forward to presenting the evidence in court and allowing the facts to speak for themselves.”

In a statement to Us, Shaker added, “Our client didn’t seek the spotlight — she sought the protections the law promises every employee.”

The lawsuit comes as Jenner, 28, faces additional lawsuits from two former housekeepers. In May, Juana Delgado Soto alleged in court documents that she experienced racial harassment, racial discrimination and more during her time as an employee.

Soto claimed that the former Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and other defendants “failed to provide adequate staffing, assistance or reasonable working conditions despite increasing and unreasonable demands.”

One month earlier, Angelica Vasquez filed a suit against the Kylie Cosmetics founder for alleged harassment and discrimination. Both Vasquez and Soto are being represented by Shaker. (Jenner has not publicly commented on all three suits.)

“Our clients have come forward with serious allegations involving employment and labor law violations,” Shaker previously said in a statement to Us. “No one should have to choose between their paycheck and their dignity. We will continue pursuing this matter aggressively through the proper legal process, and we remain committed to protecting our clients every step of the way.”
