Lady Gaga isn't going to let major hip surgery cramp her super-luxe style — or her birthday celebration! Still on the mend from the procedure in late February, the pop superstar resurfaced in Chicago on Thursday, March 28th — her 27th birthday — for a private celebration with boyfriend Taylor Kinney. In one of her few post-surgery pics, the "Born This Way" singer was snapped heading into a Windy City hotel — on wheels.
Escorted by members of her entourage, Gaga's mode of transport was an eye-catching wheelchair telltale Louis Vuitton labeling on the seat. Like most over-the-top celebrities, Gaga has more than one set of wheels. She's also been getting around via 24-karat wheelchair, created by Mordekai designer Ken Borochov. (Borochov called the golden wheelchair the "Chariot" in a statement.)
Gaga used that wheelchair for a meal on Tuesday with Chicago Fire hunk Kinney, 31, for a dinner at Chicago's Spiaggia eatery, according to the New York Post. The twosome dined on Spiaggia's six-course tasting menu.
As she gets well in private, Gaga is "doing unbelievable," her manager Vincent Herbert told the New York Daily News recently. "I can't wait for the world to hear her new music and see her come back healthy, strong and better than ever." The "Poker Face" singer, who canceled remaining tour dates to deal with her medical woes, hopes to get back to work soon on her new ARTPOP album.
