Not everyone wants their dirty laundry aired on national TV. Teen Mom 2’s Leah Messer has seemingly had enough of having her life documented on the five seasons of MTV’s Teen Mom 2. The 22-year-old mother of three tweeted a simple “no” on Nov. 20 when a fan asked her if she’d be returning to the show, but MTV has yet to make an official statement on the status of the reality series.
A source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly that Messer “doesn’t want her drama on TV anymore,” adding, “She’s scarred by how her split with Corey [Simms] played out on TV.”
After welcoming twins Ali and Aleeah in late 2009, Messer and Simms tied the knot, but the then-teenage mother cheated on her husband with her ex-boyfriend just one week before the wedding. Naturally, Simms found out, and they filed for divorce in April 2011.
Later that year she met Jeremy Calvert, and they married in April 2012. The couple welcomed daughter Addalynn in February 2013, and their relationship has been documented on Teen Mom 2. But recently Calvert accused Messer of cheating, and Simms has been fighting her for custody of their twins.
Messer, whose costars include Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska, and Kailyn Lowry, also tweeted, “I hope my girls continue to move on with TM2. I wish them the BEST xoxo… My girls still do what they do and keep things going!”
