Bugs Bunny has a new pal! Miami Heat's LeBron James is tapped to star in Warner Bros' Space Jam 2, Deadline reports.
According to the site, broadcast veteran Dick Ebersol's sons Charlie and Willie are currently developing the animated film that will be produced by Charlie's production company, The Company. Willie has written the script, which is also his first screenplay.
"A childhood dream comes true," Charlie tweeted on Friday, Feb. 21, along with a link to Deadline's story. "#dreambig." (James, 29, has yet to comment.)
The news of the Looney Toons big screen reunion comes 18 years since then-Chicago Bulls player Michael Jordan, 51, starred in the original 1996 hit. The film also featured actors Wayne Knight and Billy Murray, and NBA players Larry Bird, Patrick Ewing, and Charles Barkley. The childhood favorite grossed $230 million worldwide.
