On Monday, August 8, the Ghostbusters actress revealed that she’s accepted the network's invitation and she’s heading to Brazil to join the coverage team.
“Guess who’s going to Rio? Guess who’s coming to Rio?” Jones said in a video posted to Twitter. In the clip, the excited sports fan donned an NBC Olympics Rio hat while waving an American flag.

“Ok packing I'm in the middle of watching Olympics so I might miss some stuff!!” she shared in another tweet, revealing her die-hard dedication to the games.
Her invitation to join NBC’s team came after a fan brought Jones’ enthusiastic tweets to executive producer Jim Bell’s attention.
“Note to my friends @jfb & #nbcolympics: Get @Lesdoggg to Rio & give her a microphone. 30% more USA gold + #ratings,” the Twitter user tweeted at Bell, who replied: “@shoemakermike OK @Lesdoggg you're officially invited to Rio. Want to come?”
