Five years after calling off their engagement, Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin are on better terms. Despite fighting his ex in a nasty custody battle, Johnston is pledging his support to Palin during her second pregnancy, and says he'll do what he can to help out the mother of his son, Tripp, 6.

"She's a great mom," Johnston, 25, told TMZ of the Wasilla, Alaska, single mom, 24, who announced her surprise second pregnancy on Thursday, June 25. According to TMZ, Johnston, twice engaged to Palin, feels badly for his ex's called off wedding to Dakota Meyer. Johnston married Sunny Oglesby in 2012, and the couple share a daughter, Breeze Beretta, 2.

Announcing her pregnancy less than one month after her intended Memorial Day weekend wedding to Meyer, Palin did not specify how far along she is, or name her baby's father. "I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you. But please respect Tripp's and my privacy during this time," she blogged last week. "I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy."

Palin followed up her initial announcement by confirming that her pregnancy was indeed planned. "I made a mistake, but it's not the mistake all these giddy a–holes have loved to assume," she blogged on June 28. "This pregnancy was actually planned. Everyone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself. Things didn't go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on."

"I do not regret this baby," Palin continued. "This baby is not a disappointment, and I cannot wait to be a mom times two. Tripp is going to make the best big brother!"
