Matthew Morrison Engaged: See Fiancee Renee Puente’s Ring

Matthew Morrison got engaged to fiancee Renee Puente on June 27, when he proposed with a huge diamond ring that bears a striking similarity to Kate Middleton's engagement ring from Prince William.

Oh, this old thing? Matthew Morrison's longtime love, model Renee Puente, was the belle of the White Tie and Tiara Ball on Thursday, June 27 — but it wasn't just her natural beauty that caught people's eyes. The brunette stunner, 26, was rocking some seriously impressive new bling at the charity event, courtesy of Morrison, 34, who proposed to Puente earlier in the evening.

New pictures of the happy couple show them holding hands in what looks to be the backseat of a car. Puente's face is hidden by her long brown hair, but an engagement ring is visible on her left ring finger. The huge sparkler features a big blue stone surrounded by tiny diamonds, a la Kate Middleton's ring from Prince William.

As Us Weekly previously reported, Morrison popped the question to his girlfriend of two years on June 27. His friends Elton John and David Furnish announced the news at their White Tie and Tiara ball to benefit John's AIDS Foundation in London.

Speaking about his relationship with Puente in an interview with Closer magazine, the Glee star said he was "very happy" with the model. "Renee's not in the industry — I need that normality," he told Closer. "We like to stay home and cook, we're not that Hollywood."

The actor's pals are fans of the romance, too. "Matt's friends absolutely adore Renee!" a source told Us. "They have never seen Matt happier than when he is with her. She is super supportive of his career and also works hard on her own. She is such a great girl, and they are awesome together."
