There was an outpouring of comments promising to pray for the eldest son of Bublé and his wife, Luisana Lopilato.
The 29-year-old Argentinian model’s sister Daniela Lopilato spoke to a local TV station after the announcement about Noah’s health on Friday, November 4.
“To tell you the truth, I’m devastated. This is very recent,” she reportedly texted to Argentinian journalist Tomas Dente, according to the UK Express. “The only thing I ask is that you don’t speculate because not everyone has children and can understand what this means.”
She added that the young boy’s famous parents, who also have a 10-month-old son, Elias, are “broken in half” over the diagnosis, but that they will keep concerned fans informed.
“Michael and my sister will publish more statements and I can’t say anymore,” she said. “But it’s not leukemia or the central nervous system as people are saying. It’s all I can say.”
Michael, 41, revealed the news with a heartbreaking statement on Facebook.
“We are devastated about the recent cancer diagnosis of our oldest son Noah who is currently undergoing treatment in the U.S. We have always been very vocal about the importance of family and the love we have for our children.”
“Luisana and I have put our careers on hold in order to devote all our time and attention to helping Noah get well,” the statement continued. “At this difficult time, we ask only for your prayers and respect for our privacy. We have a long journey in front of us and hope that with the support of family, friends and fans around the world, we will win this battle, God willing.”
