1. She Likes Rock Music

There is one song that always gets Shiffrin motivated before she hits the snow: Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 2016 single “Dark Necessities.”

2. She’s an Emoji Enthusiast

The Colorado native could hardly contain her excitement when asked to describe herself using one emoji. “I would be the emoji with the hands,” she told Us, referring to the hugging face emoji. “Or the monkey covering the face!”

3. She Enjoys Playing Tennis

“If I wasn’t a skier, I would maybe be a tennis player,” Shiffrin said. “Or I would probably be just finishing up college, trying to figure out what I want to do in life.”

If the athlete could have one superhuman ability, she would like to be able to fly.

5. She Loves Sweets

When Shiffrin isn’t hitting the slopes, she enjoys snacking on desserts. As for her favorites, she told Us, “Doughnuts, chocolate cake or some kind of sugary cereal.”
