What a wild wreath for Reese! Mindy Kaling didn’t send pal Reese Witherspoon a bottle of champagne in honor of her Best Actress Oscar nomination for the drama Wild. Instead, she sent the mom of three her very own “Wreath Witherspoon.”
“I mean…C’mon! Best gift ever!” Witherspoon, 38, captioned a photo of the gift via Instagram on Sunday, Jan. 18. “Thanks @mindykaling for my #WreathWitherspoon #Oscar edition. #YesItsOnMyFrontDoor.”
The colorful purple and pink arrangement was even Academy Award-themed, featuring eight cutouts of gold Oscar statues and a photo of Witherspoon on the red carpet.
Kaling, after all, caught the attention of Witherspoon when she featured a “Wreath Witherspoon” on her FOX comedy The Mindy Project last month. The decoration in the “Christmas” episode included more than a dozen photos of the Louisiana native.
“The many variations of a #WreathWitherspoon (Regram @MindyKaling),” Witherspoon wrote, posting a variation of wreaths fans made at the time. “Hahah….Love it!!!”
