The Sarah Jessica Parker that Kim Cattrall described in her scathing Instagram post on Saturday, February 10, is not the one that Molly Shannon has come to know.

“For me, Sarah is just so supportive and so wonderful and we just get along so well,” Shannon told Entertainment Tonight of her Divorce costar on Saturday. “We just get along so well. It doesn’t really feel like work because we have so much in common, and she loves funny women and is just so genuinely supportive and kind, and like a girls-girl. I just feel lucky that I get to work with her.”

Shannon, 53, credits Parker and other cast members — including Thomas Haden Church — for making her job so pleasant. “I feel really lucky getting to work with Sarah Jessica Parker, she’s true Hollywood royalty, and Thomas Haden Church and our amazing writers,” gushed the SNL alum. “It’s just fun! For me, it’s like a dream job I love, I’m really enjoying myself.”

But Cattrall had a very different experience when she worked with Parker, 52, on the set of Sex and the City from 1998 to 2004. The 61-year-old, who played sassy Samantha Jones for six seasons, lashed out at Parker for sending condolences after her brother Christopher Catrall’s death.

“My mom asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?’” Cattrall began in her Instagram post on Saturday “Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already). You are not my family. You are not my friend. So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona.” .

Cattrall shared a link to a New York Post titled, “Inside the Mean-Girls Culture That Destroyed Sex and the City.” Rumors of Cattrall and Parker’s ongoing feud resurfaced after Catrall announced she had no interest in a third installment of the series’ movies.

A source previously told Us Weekly that the Emmy winner is likely to be deeply hurt by Catrall’s social media slam. “This will be absolutely devastating to her,” the insider told Us on Saturday. “She really is one of the nicest people in show business. Not sure why Kim had to take it to this level.”

CNN reported that Christopher’s body was discovered on his property in Blackfalds, Alberta, Canada. A cause of death was not revealed but local authorities said it was no considered suspicious. He was 55.
