Naya Rivera is making sure her baby’s entry into this world is a Glee-ful one. On Saturday, Aug. 1, the Glee alum celebrated her first pregnancy with an elaborate baby shower surrounded by close family and friends.
The actress, who is in her third trimester, shared images from the fun day on Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 5. In one particularly precious shot, Rivera, 28, rocks a body-hugging black-and-white patterned Rachel Pally dress that shows off her growing baby bump. Her husband, actor Ryan Dorsey, is by her side in a sleek beige blazer and dark sunglasses.
In the photo, the pair are gazing down at an impressive Hansen’s Cakes creation decorated with a recreation of the cover of Rivera’s favorite children’s book, Love You Forever by Robert Munsch.
“We were blown away by how beautiful our cake for the baby shower was!” Rivera captioned the shot. “@hansencakes turned my favorite childhood book into a sweet treat!”
Just two weeks ago, Rivera and Dorsey, 32, celebrated their one-year anniversary. The pair exchanged “I do’s” in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, last July, just three months after she ended her engagement to rapper Big Sean.
“We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife,” they told Us Weekly at the time. “Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for. True love always prevails.”
