Steph Curry and Tony Parker were just the beginning! After a quick sneak peek on June 3, Jimmy Kimmel premiered his third edition of NBA’s Mean Tweets during Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday, June 4. The insults were cringeworthy and the curses were flowing, but the reactions were the best part!
Some of the athletes brushed off the comments, while others like Wesley Matthews and Jeremy Lin had the last word.
“Wesley Matthews complains about every foul. Just go eat donuts on the bench you fat f—k,” the Portland Trail Blazers star read. He quipped in response: “I’m six percent body fat!”
L.A. Lakers guard Lin, meanwhile, didn’t have to think hard about his comeback. “You smell like a half jar of mustard pickles,” he said, using the tweeter’s own insult against him.
But the best moments, perhaps, came from Reggie Miller and Blake Griffin. The former NBA star had a quick (and hysterical!) reply to his dig, while the L.A. Clippers power forward had the most intense tweet to read out loud. (Spoiler: It involved Lindsay Lohan!)
