Peace out. Nicki Minaj jetted off to Dubai with her boyfriend, Meek Mill, on Wednesday, Sept. 2, after calling out Miley Cyrus on stage Sunday during the MTV Video Music Awards.
“Just landed in Dubai with Bae,” Minaj, 32, updated fans on Instagram before captioning a picture of herself in bed, “U guys I'm not even kidding it's about 800 degrees in Dubai right now.”
The Pinkprint singer, who called Cyrus, 22, a “bitch” onstage for dubbing her “not too polite” in a New York Times interview, accompanied Mill on the trip, who performed at Dubai’s People by Crystal event on Sept. 2. “My fkn baby #Dubai,” she tagged a photo of herself with Mill, 28, at the event.
As previously reported by Us, Minaj’s VMAs outburst wasn’t planned nor was it a joke. “No one knew that Nicki was going to go off on Miley beforehand,” an insider exclusively told Us. “Nothing was preplanned about that!”
Cyrus has yet to address the moment but Wendy Williams and Azealia Banks weighed in. While Williams noted she was “very disappointed in Nicki,” Banks deemed both girls “basic.”
“All of y'all bitches are whack and make boring music and rip all ur styles off the downtown NYC girls,” Banks tweeted on Wednesday. “It's so funny to wake up and see nicki and Miley or nicki and taylor fighting when you ALL make basic ass music. it's a ki !!! ITS A CONTEST OF THE BASICS.”
Minaj has been pranking fans for months about her relationship with Mill. The Internet flipped out after she called him her “baby father” last month during a show and in April she pretended to be engaged to the rapper after he gifted her with a massive heart-shaped diamond ring.
"It's definitely real," the "Amen" performer told The Fader about his relationship with Minaj. “But it ain't really time to get married yet. We’re still learning each other, feeling each other out."
