Shaders to the left! When host Jennifer Lopez took the stage at the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 22, she started off the show with a big dance number, set to the soundtrack of the year’s hottest songs. And when Nicki Minaj‘s booty-poppin’ hit “Anaconda” came on, the camera panned to the stone-faced rapper.
The RBF (that’s Resting Bitch Face for those who don’t know) caused fans to immediately assume the Pinkprint emcee, 32, had dissed the “Let’s Get Loud” songstress, 46. But Minaj clarified the look on Twitter shortly after the awards show.
When one fan tweeted a video of the moment, writing, “Damn J Lo……. Nicki Minaj facial expression says it all… We still love u doe,” Minaj responded, “lol says what all? I’m looking at my own face on the screen when I’m looking to the right. I turn Bak & look @ her.”
Jenny From the Block didn’t seem fazed by the perceived slight, and continued her “dream” of hosting the show in a series of skin-baring gowns and getups.
Minaj, for her part, won two AMAs — one for Favorite Artist: Rap/Hip and one for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album.
