Oliver Hudson Slams Estranged Dad Bill Hudson: "Happy Abandonment Day"

Bill Hudson shouldn’t expect breakfast in bed or a nice card. The musician and estranged father of Oliver and Kate Hudson got a rude awakening on Sunday, June 21, when his son posted the ultimate Father’s Day diss to Instagram.

“Happy abandonment day… @katehudson,” Oliver, 38, captioned the photo with Bill and his younger sister Kate Hudson.

Bill divorced Goldie Hawn, the mother of Oliver and Kate, in 1980, when the future actor and model was just 4 years old. Oliver and Kate, 36, were raised by Hawn and her longtime partner Kurt Russell, whom the siblings consider to be their real dad.

In fact, the Wish I Was Here actress thanked Russell in a sweet grinning pic on Instagram, writing, “Pa, just simply….. Thank you Happy Fathers Day I love you to the moon and back. #HappyFathersDay.”

Bill also fathered two children, Emily and Zachary Hudson, with ex-wife and Laverne and Shirley star Cindy Williams, whom he divorced in 2000, and had daughter Lalania Hudson in 2006 with a long-term girlfriend.
