Celebrating his dad! Oliver Hudson made headlines earlier this week for slamming his biological father, Bill Hudson, via Instagram in a post that read, “Happy abandonment day…. @katehudson.” But on Wednesday, June 24, he had a much kinder message for the man who raised him, Kurt Russell.
Sharing a sweet selfie with Russell, Oliver, 38, wrote, “Happy Father’s Day Pa… #neworleans #felixs.”
Bill, the biological dad of both Oliver and his younger sister, Kate Hudson, divorced the pair’s mother, Goldie Hawn, in 1980. Several years later, Hawn, now 69, began dating Russell, now 64, and the two Hudson kids consider him to be their real dad.
In fact, on Father’s Day, Kate, 36, Instagrammed a grinning pic with Russell, writing, “Pa, just simply….. Thank you Happy Fathers Day I love you to the moon and back. #HappyFathersDay.”
Bill went on to father three more children with two other women, daughters Emily and Lalania and son Zachary.
