One Direction Gives “Our Brother” Zayn Malik Shout-Out at 2015 Billboard Music Awards: Watch!

It's the little things! One Direction gave a sweet shoutout to their former bandmate Zayn Malik while accepting an award at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, May 17.

The boy band — Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne — took the stage at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena after winning the first category of the night, Top Duo/Group.

"This is absolutely incredible and an incredible honor," Horan said. Payne added: "There's one more person to share this award with — and that's our brother Zayn."

(Fun fact: Styles stayed quiet behind the mic, but he was surrounded by exes during the big show. He sat two rows behind Kendall Jenner, who clapped for him and the band when they won. Former love Taylor Swift also attended with her new flame Calvin Harris!)

Malik announced his departure from 1D back in March. He left fans heartbroken, but on good terms with his longtime lads. However, earlier this week he got into a heated Twitter exchange with Tomlinson.

At the time, Malik's buddy Naughty Boy posted a photo with the Brit. "Replace this," he captioned. Tomlinson replied: "Remember when you were 12 and you used to think those Mac filters for your pictures were cool haha ! Some people still do HA!"

Malik didn't stay quiet though. He retaliated: "@Louis_Tomlinson remember when you had a life and stopped making bitchy comments about mine?"
