Nothing but good vibes! Pamela Anderson and her ex-husband Tommy Lee reunited at PETA’s 35th Anniversary Gala in L.A. on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
The Baywatch actress — a longtime PETA advocate and animal activist — and Lee embraced on the star-studded red carpet before the night’s festivities. Anderson, 48, rocked a low-cut sparkly black dress while the Motley Crue drummer, 52, looked dapper in a suit.
“It didn’t seem like there was any ill will between them,” an onlooker tells Us Weekly. In fact, Lee was also joined by his fiancee, Sofia Toufa.
Anderson and Lee ended their three-year marriage in 1998 and share sons Brandon, 19, and Dylan, 17. (Earlier this month, Anderson said she never watched their famous 1995 sex tape during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.)
Anderson and Lee both took the stage Wednesday night, but didn’t appear to cross paths again, the onlooker notes. Instead, Anderson shared her passion for the PETA organization and what she’s taught their sons about helping animals.
“You have to do it by example. You can’t really be a dictator, so I’m not a dictator. I just live my life the way I do and I have a lot of fun, so they’re looking at me going, ‘Gosh, you’re so, like, boring,'” Anderson joked to Us Weekly and other outlets. “I don’t think I’m boring, but I try to – they have to learn on their own because they’re also a healthy rebellion. You don’t want to put too much on them, otherwise they rebel against you. You have to be a psychologist, I guess, to be a parent.”
“The seeds have been planted. They’ve been on many actions with me. They’ve gone to the Faroe Islands with me, Dylan came to the Faroes and brought attention to the pilot whales being slaughtered, and Brandon went with Vivienne Westwood to the Arctic on the Greenpeace mission,” she continued. “I see them kind of saying the same words, so it’s by example. That’s the only way you can do it.”
