Sweet singlehood. Paris Hilton and her boyfriend, Thomas Gross, have split after a year of dating, a source confirms to Us Weekly.
Hilton, 35, first met the handsome businessman at the Cannes Film Festival last May, and the two immediately hit it off. The hotel heiress was so smitten with Gross that she referred to him as her “soulmate” in a July 2015 Instagram post, and gushed in a subsequent interview that he was different from the guys she’s previously dated.
“He’s very private so he’d never want cameras following us around,” Hilton told British publication Closer in November 2015. “I’m so busy with my work that when I do get time at home, I don’t have time to watch reality TV. I like to cook for my boyfriend and watch movies together … Thomas is my soulmate. I’ve never been happier. He doesn’t like fame, he just wants me. With previous boyfriends I felt there was always an intention, but with him I know it’s all about love.”
The elder Hilton sister also mused about her younger sibling Nicky’s wedding to businessman James Rothschild, saying she ultimately wanted that kind of settled lifestyle. The couple married in May 2015 at Kensington Gardens in London, and are currently expecting their first child.
“One day I’d love to get married and have kids,” Paris told Closer. “I see how happy Nicky is. That’s the true meaning of life: to find the love of your life and start a family.”
Hilton previously dated Hills star Doug Reinhardt from 2007 to 2009, former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and Greek billionaire heir Stavros Niarchos.
