Just because she hasn’t found her soul mate yet doesn’t mean she can’t match you with yours! Patti Stanger is defending her career as a matchmaker amid her recent breakup from her boyfriend of three years, David Krause.
“This was an incredibly difficult decision for me to make, but it is one I needed to do,” Stanger tells Us Weekly exclusively. “David and I undoubtedly didn’t break up because we don't love each other. David is amazing and we remain very good friends. We shared a home and dogs together, we truly were a family. I did feel a lot of love towards him, just not the right kind. I wish him the absolute best.”
“I know there are going to be people who will ask how I can be a matchmaker when I don’t have a man myself,” she added. “I am a human and I have my own issues, but that has nothing to do with my job. I have hundreds of happily married couples who found each other because of my matchmaking.”
“I am still hopeful that I will find my happily ever after. Every relationship brings you closer to the one that lasts forever, and for that, I am thankful and hopeful,” she concluded.
Stanger and Krause, a mortgage banker, met through an online dating site in 2012.
“David and I broke up,” the Millionaire Matchmaker informed fans on Wednesday, June 24, via her website. “It’s unfortunate for a million and one reasons and obviously hard and sad for both of us. Parts of me wish neither of us had to go through this. At the same time, I realize that this relationship and break up had to happen because I needed to learn a lot of lessons I never would have been able to learn without dating David.”
Prior to dating Krause, Stanger was engaged to Andy Friedman until splitting in 2010.
