Following in his brother's footsteps. Cody Walker, the younger brother of the late Paul Walker, officially booked his first feature film role.
Cody, 27, made his first appearance on the big screen earlier this year, when he made a cameo in his brother's stead in Furious 7 following Paul's untimely death in November 2013. Cody and brother Caleb Walker famously stepped in to finish Paul's work after he was killed in a car crash at the age of 40.
Following his Fast & Furious role, Cody is now nabbing parts in his own right. According to Variety, the youngest of the five Walker siblings will star in the upcoming USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage.
Cody will appear in the drama alongside Nicolas Cage, Tom Sizemore, Thomas Jane, and Weronika Rosati, among others. Due out in May 2016, the film tells the story of the United States Navy ship USS Indianapolis, which sank in 1945 in the midst of World War II after being hit by enemy torpedoes.
Paul's little brother is expected to play one of the ship's 1,196 crewmen. Cage will make his appearance in the film as Capt. Charles B. McVay III, the leader of the ship who faced widespread, albeit questionable, scrutiny for his role in the ship's loss.
Before he joined Furious 7, Cody attended University of California, Santa Barbara and went on to work as a paramedic. He signed with an agent this past April as he pursues the early stages of his acting career. It's also a busy time in the rising star's personal life: He's engaged to his love Felicia Knox and set to tie the knot next month.
