Guess he's no longer the coldhearted snake she once thought he was! It's been more than 25 years since Paula Abdul dated John Stamos, and when the couple reunited this week, it was just like the good ol' days. "Cold Hearted Snake and America's sweetheart. Together again and it feels so good," Full House's Stamos, 51, posted on Instagram after the duo connected on May 12.

Appropriately on Throwback Thursday, Abdul, 51, followed her ex's post with a then-and-now photo of the duo. "I think I was taller before," Abdul joked, referring to the photo of her 1990 Grammy appearance with Stamos.

This week's dose of nostalgia was no doubt a welcome surprise for Stamos, who admitted to Ellen DeGeneres in 2009 that his relationship was brief but memorable. "It's so funny, because I sort of forgot [about our romance]. She was so adorable, and she was America's sweetheart," said Stamos, who traveled on tour with Abdul (a pop star at the time) during their relationship. "I had just started Full House and she was the biggest star in the world. People were literally knocking me down to get to her! We had the time of our lives."

However, So You Think You Can Dance judge Abdul – previously married to Emilio Estevez and Brad Beckerman – may remember their time together differently.

According to Stamos, the former L.A. Lakers girl dedicated her 1989 cheaters' anthem, “Cold Hearted," to him. Abdul's song, which featured the lyrics "He's a coldhearted snake /Look into his eyes . . . He's been tellin' lies / He's a lover boy at play / He don't play by rules," ranked sixth in Billboard's list of the Top 100 songs of 1989, and was included on her blockbuster album Forever Your Girl.
