Paulina Porizkova didn’t have the greatest time on a dating app — until she did.
Porizkova, 61, got candid about her experience on Raya, where she eventually met her now-fiancé, Jeff Greenstein, while chatting with Ageist magazine on Wednesday, May 13.
“You know how many hits I got on Raya in five years?” she began. “Four.”
As for why she received so few likes, the model theorized that she was “age-gated.”
“Guys get to set how old they want the lady to be,” she explained. “All men think they deserve women who are younger. 55? Nope.”
Porizkova also opened up about the photos she used on her profile, sharing that most of them “pictures of me without makeup.”
“Me giving myself the finger in front of a gigantic poster of me,” she added. “I wanted to show myself as I am. The real me that doesn’t look so great all the time.”
When she finally matched with Greenstein, 63, Porizkova admitted that his profile was “a disaster.”
“He’s bald but hairy in all the wrong places. Terrible pictures — like, on a tiny bicycle where he looked like a circus bear,” she quipped. “I thought: OK, well, he’s got a nice smile. His profile — equal disaster. He’s like, ‘Introvert pretending I’m an extrovert. I’m ambidextrous.’ This guy has no idea what he wants. Nothing made him sound attractive. Until I scrolled all the way down and I realized that he had put on a Modern Lovers song. He’s got good taste in music. That’s what attracted me.”
When she and Greenstein met in person, he admitted that he already knew who Porizkova was. She shared that she was attracted to his honesty.
“Jeff was like, ‘Yeah, I know who you are. I saw your poster growing up — you were super hot, and your husband [Ric Ocasek] was in one of my favorite bands [The Cars]. I’m not going to pretend.’ Somebody who told me the truth, regardless of what it is. That is the difference between the Paulina now and the Paulina of the past,” she said. “I find that so incredibly attractive. Authenticity. The truth.”
Porizkova and Greenstein announced their engagement in July 2025 after hard-launching their romance via Instagram in 2023. They’re tying the knot in two months, with Porizkova sharing she’s feeling laid-back about it.
“I found a relationship that feels like I should have always had at 58,” she gushed. “The perfect partner for me — unexpectedly. I wouldn’t say he was my type. He’s somebody I might have overlooked in the past.”
Porizkova was previously married to Ocasek from 1989 until his death in 2019 at age 75.
