Women are donating to health care and abortion provider Planned Parenthood in Mike Pence’s name as a way to protest against his antiabortion stance. The movement started after artist Bethany Cosentino posted an Instagram on Saturday, November 12, revealing that each time a donation to the organization is made in the VP-elect’s name, he’ll get an alert.

“You can make a donation to Planned Parenthood in Mike Pence’s name and he’ll receive the certificate of the donation,” the singer shared. “I am just saying.” Cosentino captioned the screenshot: “You should donate no matter what but omg this is genius ✊🏼❤️ (Ya'll this doesn't give anyone a tax deduction but yourself. It's simply a gift in someone's name.)"

Shortly after Cosentino shared her Instagram post, a bevy of celebrities got on board with her idea.

Amber Tamblyn shared Cosentino’s Instagram post with the caption: “I’m doing it. You? And if you’re here to comment and tell us to get over it, I’ll block you. You are NOT. WELCOME. HERE.” Amy Schumer also shared Cosentino’s message along with the caption, “Done and done.”

Planned Parenthood confirmed on Saturday that they’ve received a flurry of donations since the surprise election result. “Thank you so much! We've been blown away by the support we've received. Many people are donating in Clinton or Pence's name. #WeWontGoBack,” the organization tweeted.

“We are so grateful to this community across the country, and we will never stop fighting for them. The truth is that the majority of Americans, including Trump's own voters, support access to health care at Planned Parenthood and do not want to see women lose access to safe, legal abortion,” Planned Parenthood Federation of America president Cecile Richards said in a statement to the Daily News. “We will never back down, and we will never stop providing the care our patients need. These doors stay open, no matter what.”

Indiana Governor Pence has fought to defund Planned Parenthood and to limit abortion access. Republican President-Elect Donald Trump is also pro-life. During his interview with 60 Minutes which aired on Sunday, November 13, Trump vowed to appoint pro-life Supreme Court justices and said that if they overturn Roe v. Wade, abortion legislation would revert “back to the states.”
