Mike Dexter wouldn't be this romantic!
Peter Facinelli is headed to the altar for the second time — and can't stop blushing about it! The American Odyssey actor revealed even more details about his proposal to actress Jaimie Alexander during the Today show with Hoda Kotb and Kathie Lee Gifford on Friday, April 3.
As previously reported, the hunky Twilight alum, 41, popped the question to 31-year-old Alexander last month at one of NYC's most iconic landmarks.
"Well, she's awesome. We were at the top of the Empire State Building and I did plan it," Facinelli told the Today co-hosts. "I had a plane fly by with a banner, so it was kind of a romantic scene."
The ladies (without their wine!) gushed about the extravagant gesture, noting that they enjoy a good love story. "That's a big expense!" Gifford said. Blushing, Facinelli simply replied: "Yea, yea."
Alexander shared a kissing Instagram photo of the future spouses shortly after the proposal. "Top of the world with my love @peterfacinelli @empirestatebldg," she captioned on Mar. 16. "#Love #ES." At the time, a source told Us that the bride-to-be knew it was coming, but was "overwhelmed" nonetheless.
The Can't Hardly Wait star and Alexander began dating in November 2012, eight months after Facinelli split from ex-wife Jennie Garth. The exes, who share daughters Luca, 17, Lola, 12, and Fiona, 8, finalized their divorce in June 2013.
