Katy Perry is really getting into Indian tradition as she gears up to wed Russell Brand on Saturday. She's been spotted wearing an Indian bridal nose ring.

The ring — also known as a nath — is worn by brides throughout the wedding day, with the groom removing it on the wedding night.

Britain's Daily Mail reports Perry (who turns 26 Monday) got it in London — which could explain why husband-to-be Russell Brand tossed a her coat over her head in the airport in Mumbai Wednesday to shield her from photographers.

Perry's "nerves are frayed," a source tells the new Us Weekly (out now). "But it doesn't have to do with Russell — it's about her fears of wedding mishaps. Katy thinks they will be together forever."

The two met in 2008 when she shot a cameo for his comedy Get Him to the Greek.

Us broke the news that they got engaged in December 2009 when he popped the question while they were vacationing in India.

Ever since, Perry told MTV News Brand has become "a total bridezilla. He's like a freak, man. You should see — he's always, like, buying bride magazines. Every time we go out for breakfast he's like, 'Can we just stop and get a bride magazine?'"

Perry told Us she was less obsessive. Asked about saying "I do!" she said, "We just want it to mean something. It doesn't matter if it's just me and him or if it's a big, fat ordeal."
