As one of the stars of Beverly Hills, 90210, Tori Spelling seemed to have it all in the mid-'90s. But in an August 22 blog post, the pregnant Craft Wars host, 38, opened up about some of her past insecurities while giving advice to her former self.
"I would tell 21-year-old Tori that she's strong, beautiful, smart, and can do anything that she sets her mind to. At 21, my biggest obstacle (well, aside from a bad boyfriend) was myself," Spelling wrote of her days playing Donna Martin on the teen soap. "I lacked such self-confidence that I constantly stood in my own way."
(In 1995, Spelling ended a two-year relationship with live-in boyfriend Nick Savalas. "It was a nightmare," she later told Entertainment Weekly. "He was never physically abusive, but he was verbally abusive, telling me 10 times a day how ugly I was.")
"Although I don't believe in regrets and think every moment makes us the women and moms we ultimately become," Spelling blogged, "it would be nice to give this advice!"
Before concluding her entry, Spelling shared one final bit of wisdom: "I would have taught myself how to tweeze my eyebrows!"
Spelling, who is expecting her fourth child with Dean McDermott, 45, this fall, is mom to son Liam, 5, and daughters Stella, 4, and Hattie, 10 months. She is also stepmom to McDermott's son, Jack, 13.
