The tropical locale was his late mother Princess Diana's favorite getaway; she and Prince Charles, 63, vacationed in Windermere when she was five months pregnant with Prince William in 1982.

"Harry wants to make the visit for personal reasons because the place holds sentimental value," the aide explains to Us. "Harry was happy with the tour itinerary but this is the only thing he wanted to add himself. It will be a special visit."

From March 2 through March 11, Prince Harry, 27, will visit cities in Belize, The Bahamas and Jamaica as part of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The Diamond Jubilee tour marks the first time Harry will officially represent his grandmother, who turns 85 this year. He is expected to receive a track lesson at the Usain Bolt Track at the University of West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. He will also run in a mile-long race and coach a rugby game in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
