She gets it! Ramona Singer spoke exclusively with Us Weekly about her Real Housewives of New York City costar Jules Wainstein’s divorce from husband Michael Wainstein — and the alleged affair that took them down.
“I know she’s heartbroken, and I think it’s really sad,” Singer, 59, told Us Wednesday, June 15, during a launch event for Lux Beauty Club’s press-on hair extensions. “I mean, listen, let’s face it: Half the marriages [on Real Housewives] do end in divorce, and they end in divorce for a lot of assorted reasons.”

“I think it’s a really sad thing that it becomes public. I mean, something like this, you want to keep private,” the Bravo personality added. “You want to protect your children and it’s just hard enough to deal with without it being all over the media.”
As Us Weekly previously reported, Jules decided to call it quits on her eight-year marriage after learning of Michael’s alleged indiscretions with another woman. Ramona — who split from her now–ex-husband, Mario Singer, in 2014 and is dating again — told Us that she believes Jules’ breakup will only make her stronger.
“I really believe that in life, one grows from the hardships, and this is definitely a major hardship, but I think she’ll grow from it and be stronger for it,” the Ramona Pinot Grigio founder said. “And I respect her a lot and I think she’s more resilient than she knows.”
While Jules and Michael, a principal at Private Capital Group, got into tiny arguments on RHONY, the parents of Jagger, 5, and Rio, 2, showed no significant signs of trouble during their first season of reality TV.

“It has nothing to do with the show,” Jules’ rep told Us on Wednesday. “They had issues for a while, but Jules was blindsided by this.”
The Real Housewives of New York City airs on Bravo Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.
