If Matt Barnes ever had a chance with Rihanna, it's gone now. The "Bitch Better Have My Money" singer took the NBA player to task on Sunday, Aug. 16, after he added fuel to the fire of dating rumors about them.
Stopped by a TMZ cameraman on Saturday, Barnes, 35, was asked what — if anything — was going on between him and the Barbados-born superstar. TMZ claimed the two had been on "two dates fairly recently."
"Rihanna's my friend right now, so we'll see where it goes," the Memphis Grizzlies athlete told TMZ. "I think it's just past the crush stage, just a little bit."
He shot down any questions about their alleged dates as "speculation," but added, "We're friends, and we'll see where it goes from there."
Based on Rihanna's latest Instagram, however, it's going nowhere — or nowhere good, at least. The "FourFiveSeconds" hitmaker, 27, put Barnes on blast for his comments, sharing a screenshot of his TMZ interview with several very telling hashtags.

Rihanna has also been linked recently with Formula One champion (and Nicole Scherzinger's ex) Lewis Hamilton. The two have been spotted together on multiple occasions in recent weeks, including on a yacht in Barbados earlier this month.
