Robin Thicke really, really wants to get back together with Paula Patton. The 36-year-old singer professed his love for his estranged wife (again!) onstage at his concert at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, N.J. on Sunday, March 2.
During the middle of his performance, a fan shouted to Thicke, "I love Paula!" The singer, still wearing his wedding ring, replied: "I do too." Appropriately, Thicke then sang Al Green's "Let's Stay Together."
Thicke has tried to woo Patton from the stage before. On Feb. 27, he dedicated his song "Lost Without U" to the actress and told the crowd: "For y'all that don't know, me and my wife separated but I'm trying to get my girl back. She's a good woman."
While Thicke was professing his love, Patton was dancing to his hit "Blurred Lines" at a pre-Oscars party on March 1. "She appeared unfazed and didn't let it ruin her evening," an eyewitness told Us Weekly of Patton hearing the song.
Thicke and the Baggage Claim star, who are parents to 3-year-old son Julian, announced they had "mutually decided to separate" in a joint statement on Feb. 24. Thicke, however, told TMZ shortly after that he is "trying to get her back."
"Robin wanted to save their marriage, but it was Paula's choice and she ended it," an insider told Us. "Robin does not want this divorce."
