Read all about it! Rupert Murdoch and Jerry Hall are engaged. The couple announced their engagement in the “Births, Marriages and Deaths” section of Murdoch’s The Times on Monday, January 11.
The 84-year-old media mogul and 59-year-old former model first stepped out together just four months ago. The News Corp. executive chairman and actress were reportedly set up by Murdoch’s family members.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, their ad read:
“Mr. Rupert Murdoch and Miss Jerry Hall / Mr. Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and
Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger, are delighted to announce their engagement.”
On Sunday, January 10, the husband-and-wife-to-be posed for photographers at the 73rd Golden Globe Awards. Hall did not appear to be wearing an engagement ring.
Hall was previously in a long-term relationship with Mick Jagger from 1977 to 1999. Together they are the parents of Georgia May, 23, Elizabeth, 31, James, 30, and Gabriel, 18. Rupert divorced his third wife, Wendi Deng, in 2013. Together they are the parents of Chloe, 12, and Grace Helen, 14.
